Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
Review by cheetor586 |

This game is one of my favorite games of all time, and I am no easy critic of games! The Score is the best since Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Levels and Graphics are the best I've ever seen for the Cube; the controls are very Zelda-like (which is a good thing), and very simple. The game is not a short game by any standards, and that’s a good thing. There's nothing I hate more than going out, spending on a game and having it done in a month. Here is my review for Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.
Graphics-10 This game is the most beautiful game for the Cube that I've ever seen. The Levels and backgrounds are amazing, and the animation is very fluent. You can almost feel the pain as the mummy gets electrified or set on fire, and it feels like you are sphinx when you are running around through the town, or you can feel the wind in your hair while going down a zip line.
Sound- 9.5 The score for this game is great, but it can get a little repetitive. The only other disappointment was that there was no voice acting done. I really wish they could have had at least a voice for Sphinx. It just seems that it would add to his arrogant nature to have a voice to associate with him.
Game play- 10 Some of the most challenging puzzles I've ever seen, and a very good button system (similar to the Legend Of Zelda Games), this game is perfect in this category. The controls don’t take a few days to learn, you can be a very beginning gamer and pick up the controls, and feel like you’ve been playing for years.
Story- 10 This story draws you in as you are playing as two different people and seeing each side of the story, very well done! The Plot isn't as predictable as I thought it would be and it seems like it should be a movie. The way they intertwine Sphinx and the mummy is ingenious!
Overall- 10 This game is the best game I've played in a long time! I didn’t expect much, but it delivered more than expected. The graphics are the best I’ve seen for the Cube. This game is definitely the sleeper hit of the year. Drop your controller and buy this game! The only negative is that it takes up 20 blocks of memory. Oh well, get it anyway!
